Charles Hawtrey was an English comedy actor. Hawtrey acted in films from an early age, appearing in an impressive array of movies while still a boy. He became a core member of the Carry On series of films throughout the 1960s and 1970s, mostly playing characters that ranged from the wimpish through the effete to the effeminate.
