(Born June 22, 1953) Cyndi Lauper is a singer whose melodic voice and wild costumes have come to epitomize the 1980s, the decade in which she first came to fame. She became a household name in the mid-eighties with the release of the album, She's So Unusual and became the first artist in history to have four top-five singles released from one album. She continues to tour the world in support of human rights.
