She left for New York at the age of 17 to study acting under the tutelage of several acclaimed acting coaches, and became well-versed in the Meisner technique of acting. She has appeared on such TV shows as Xena: Warrior Princess and Cleopatra 2525, and in guest roles on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Charmed. She married The Calling singer Alex Band on July 24, 2004.
