(Sept. 15, 1916 - July 15, 1990) Margaret Lockwood was a British actress. She made her stage debut at the age of 12. Her most successful film of the 1930s was Alfred Hitchcock's The Lady Vanishes. Her greatest success was in the title role in The Wicked Lady (1945), a film which was controversial in its day and brought Lockwood considerable publicity. She continued to act until the late 1970s.
