Phil Rizzuto, nicknamed "The Scooter", was an American shortstop in Major League Baseball who spent his entire career from 1941 to 1956 with the New York Yankees. Rizzuto later enjoyed a 40-year career as a radio and television sports announcer for the Yankees.
