Philip Bretherton is an English actor who is perhaps best known for his role as Alistair Deacon in the comedy series As Time Goes By. Bretherton appeared in Casualty as Andrew Bower (Lisa Duffin's husband), Footballer's Wives as Stefan Hauser, New Tricks as Doug Standeven and, most recently, Coronation Street as Ian Davenport. He is also active in theatre.
