Robert Englund is an American actor of Swedish descent. He is best known for playing Freddy Krueger in the horror film A Nightmare On Elm Street and its seven sequels. Since his first movie, Buster and Billie (1974), he has acted in nearly 70 movies and TV-series to date. This includes the V television franchise, where he gained his first major role as the lovably innocent Visitor, Willie. Robert Englund's biggest starring role since Freddy has been as Mayor Buckman in the horror film 2001 Maniacs (2006).
