Shekhar Kapur is an acclaimed Indian film director and producer. He started his career as actor in the movie' 'tute khilone' in Bollywood and then directing the Hindi films Masoom (1983) and the 1987 science-fiction film Mr India. Both films were hugely successful and critically acclaimed. He was married to singer and actress Suchitra Krishnamurthy.
