The Spice Girls (1993-2000) are the biggest-selling all-female group in history, with combined album and single sales of over 60million. Blasting on the music scene in the summer of 1996 with Wannabe, the group was the fastest selling music act since The Beatles and became a global pop phenomenon that paved the way for artists like Britney Spears, The Backstreet Boys and Christina Aguilera to emerge towards the end of the 20th Century.
