
Stuart Sutcliffe
(June 23, 1940 - April 10, 1962)
Stuart Sutcliffe was an artist, and the original bassist of The Beatles for two years. Sutcliffe earned praise for his paintings, which mostly explored a style related to Abstract Expressionism. Although commonly referred to as "the Fifth Beatle", he was actually the fourth man to join, Pete Best being the fifth.
