One of my favourites when I was much younger, but it did not register then just how young she was when she left us
Delightful on-screen, she showed tremendous courage as victim to what must have been a tortuous illness. And she likely incurred the cancer as a result of radioactive fallout from atomic bomb tests while making 'The Conqueror'. It likely affected co-stars John Wayne and Agnes Moorehead, among others, as well.
