An oldie I touched up recently. I know... another long-dead, long-forgotten glamour girl. I DID make it a point to paint her dress. Don't want any stern lectures
Thank you, Tom. She definitely was. If you have about 5 minutes, here is a video of a very talented and unique artist doing her tribute to Ms. Ames: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hymfXWAzqj8
Lively and colorful, an enchanting depiction ... as creators of the only 2 submissions for AA, apparently you and I make up a rather select fan club! On a side-note, I was interested to see your comments regarding a certain member's submissions being obvious coloring-book copies! HAHA .. thought I was the only one who noticed!
Thank you for the comments on AA, David. I discovered her when I was searching for a reference photo of WC Fields! The crayon lady seems to have a very rigid set of ridiculous rules regarding style and she doesn't hesitate to tell others to change something she doesn't like (dresses not painted, outlines missing, too many wrinkles on a person's face, etc.). I finally had enough and told her off. I wouldn't be surprised if the schoolmarm has me expelled from the class.

Superb artwork and expression! I didn't know this american actress. Thank you to paint her to permit to discover this artist!

Thank you, Framy. That's a wonderful compliment. I like discovering people from the past.

Me too. It's important to share it. Culture is here to be shared and to do bridge between us. Thank you to give your beautiful portraits to do this.
