I'm a 55 year young Black female artist". I've just recently started painting portraits, prior to this I did landscapes and still life's. Old Hollywood Glamour girls are the beauties in my eyes. They had a way of caring themselves as glamorous women at all times. Their dress , hair and make-up were immaculate at all times . For years , I had been skeptical of trying portraits out of fear of not capturing the soul of the actual subject, until my daughter asked me to paint one for Xmas."I'm a self taught artist who simply puts what's inside my head on paper. I live for the instant gratification of seeing the finished piece . It's as if though I'm making love to the canvas with each stroke, ever so gentle but full of passion !!!!!!!
I thank all of you for your kind remarks , that will keep me going to do more. It's a pleasure to be among such talented artist.
