Her lips are amazing!

Thank you, I'm glad they came out well I was a bit dissapointed with the eyes the right's OK but the left is not right I played with it for 2 weeks but it needs to be done again. Funny I look for different things as my skills improve I see minor faults that to me are big things.

Thank you, I like lily and have painted her before in black tones I tried for this colour one but not quite for me so still thinking. It does not make my 10 best ones and I wanted it to.

wow ! i agree , lips are amazing , so glossy and love that red , mouth and teeth are so well done also and her eyes also i love color combination , dark green , black , light blue and light green - background looks so cool , i can see happiness in this portrait , colors show it , great skin tone also and likeness is great !

Thank you, if you look into a dark room does it look black or are there the little tones of green and blue. Why we always paint darkness as black I don't know. Before painting a dark area I always put Payne's grey there like with hair it sets a tone then bring minor colour in and paint them out always leaving a slight tone of them. So tonight look at a dark room and see the other colours. Happiness is light blue and green it's in our minds from and early. So thing light colours are in our minds as good. Black as a background makes things along side it stand out.
