Thanks Lise love all your work and look forward to seeing more from you. Will be out of town for a week but when I get back I certainly will be looking forward to seeing more from you!!!
Thanks Sellina trying to do better with the hair I used a lot of dry brush watercolor in the hair. I still use some charcoal and some pencil for shading it is getting closer to what I want to attain. Have a good weekend!!!
Thanks Jeanette it means a lot to me for you to like this. I really think I got a good likeness on this one. I also experimented with dry brushing the hair but used some charcoal and pencil too. Have a great weekend and I will see you next Sat.
This is a real compliment coming from you J.R. I know it must be okay when you like it. Have a great weekend I will be posting after my vacation this week!!
ya'll are givin me a big head around here!?!? I'm just a guy who likes to draw, like everyone else. It's honestly embarrassing to me (not you) but how some people totally freak out, and not just this site, but people I know? It's funny. I think people assign some higher intelligence to those who can draw, because MOST people can't? just a theory of course. Enjoy your vacant dear Christina!!!
JR God has blessed you with a great talent and the patience to use it. You find it so easy that it seems natural to you so be aware that most people are awed that you have such a gift. Don't be embarrased by it. I am delighted to know you and if you can give any consturctive critique I will be blessed to recieve it from you just do it to my personal e-mail unless you think the others here would benefit from the hints.
Amen sista!!! He has blessed us ALL, but it's up to US to practice? I never like to critique someone's work, although I can see things I would have done differently in 90% of things I see here. All good though. We are all in different places of experience!
Hey hi there JR we are back from vacation we went to Branson Mo. wow what a long trip it took us about twelve hours with two stops for breakfast and lunch. About six hundred miles. The trip through Ill. was fine all flat and straight but in the Ozarks it got really something in those rolling wooded hills. I will be getting back to normal in a few days. Hope to see more of your beautiful work thanks for sending me the e-mails!!
Hi Bea thanks a million and have a great weekend. I will be gone for a week vacationing but will be looking for more of your lovely work soon after that.
Oh thanks Marino I am sooooo happy that you like the effects. I will be gone for a week vacationing and then will be looking for more of your wonderful work too.
Hi Christine! thank you very much for appreciating my works; Actually today was the start of the new academic year; so I have less time to draw (but I'll try even so).I'm looking forward to your new wonderful works! Have a nice and happy vacation!!
Just enjoy your drawing time and do study very hard. Hope all goes well for you we had a wonderful vacation but I am totally beat keep in touch honey!!
Wow Christine ... this is double awesome. That you can create such magnificence even whilst having so many problems with your hand is so awe-inspiring. You're a marvel my friend!
Oh I am so happy you like this one I worked very hard on it. The hair is a blend of dry brush with watercolor some charcoal and pencil I am getting closer to what I wish to attain but then will we ever get to the perfect result. It is fun trying though and I will be gone for a week vacationing and will be waiting to see more of your work too!
My philosophy in life is that everything is the way it is perfectly supposed to be. Enjoy your vacation my friend, you deserve it I'm sure. I'm working on a series of drawings that are very close to my heart - I will only be posting them altogether when the series is complete. Have a good one my friend!!!
I used dry brush black watercolor then went in with charcoal and pencil to blend. I liked the carefree wind swept effects on the photo. Have a great weekend and I will see everyone next week Sat. vacation week this coming
thanks for the great tipp Christine, i am going to try it... Oh yesterday was the anniversary of 9/11, shucks i just realised... still can't get over it! Don't understand how people can be so cruel! But its in Gods hands, He will see justice!
Have a great vacation week!
Hi Biggs I am back but very tired we drove for over twelve hours so good night and I will write more later. Hope to check for the latest art pieces in the morning!!!
Thanks Biggs still recooping and trying to get back in the working mode. They of course put me on the heaviest job out of the box so maybe tonight I will have an easier one. I am having the carpel tunnel operation on Nov 19th. It will be our slow season and I will be in a cast for ten days Oh no creativity then. I will try to post my old Presidents portraits one at a time through that time. I did post them as a collage here on this site.
You know my friend, you inspired me to have like a "theme" of portraits, have you noticed?... and now you even inspired me to do a nude... i just submitted it... AND i got some dark... black paper i want to try and do like the white chalk on black or what you call it... you sure are a big inspiration my friend!!! i also have a great portrait of Barack Obama with a dog and also Ted Kennedy... i can't wait to see your Presidents!! Love your art!!
Okay keep creating and don't be afraid to experiment. It is fun to try new things you never know when you will stumble on to a new technique you love. I will be watching for all your new pieces!!!
Thanks had a good vacation and am ready to start creating again. Having an operation on my hands in November. 'Wanted to wait until our construction business is slow.
The cortisone shot has stopped the pain but the operation should fix the problem. I am putting off that since November is our slow month and I will be helping someone else to keep working and not be laid off durring that time. Thanks Rupin I appreciate your comments!!
