Was it BiggsyBirdy? hehe...Yes, someone told me to call a local college and offer to teach, so they created a public offered class and so far 8 signed up. It's 5 classes, 2 hours each, starting next Thursday. I must design it 100%. Consequentially, I have been writing downs tips, etc on everything I have learned, and am over 50 so far. I will be sure to pass it to my friends here

I like these shadows, they make your work a bit different from the other high contrast ones; they suit very well her posture and facial exprssion... So you're gonna teach portrait drawing! I wish I were a student in your class! I'm very interested in your new tutorial; thank you infinitely for your great effort of sharing your skill
Thank you very much Rick! I read your tutarial and I'll read it several times. As for me, I always start with the contour of the face before drawing its features. I don't always start with eyes but I fix the center of each one before drawing anything else. I prefer starting with features that seem to me more dificult or more remarquable in the face. I'll post maybe today after noon a portrait of Angelina Jolie where I started with face contour then nose. Well, I'm just telling you things I'm used to maybe they are wrong; you're agreat artist and you have the ability to judge my techniques. As for pencil, I prefer staedtler or faber castell, but I'll take your advice and use staedtler. Perhaps should I buy a house in US to have a free pencil portrait? you'll have clients from all over the world then (I'm joking)
Yeah for sure! Come on over and buy a house! Everyone uses different techniques, that's just how I do it? The problem with starting on the facial outline, is that now you have got to put the features in the EXACT spot to look right, where as it is easier (to me) to do the features, then adjust the frame of the face?
When I start with the frame of the face, I can fix the axis(axes) of that face, then it's easy (well, not very easy) to put features in the exact point. I'm just used to this method, I've never learnt drawing, so my self-developed techniques may not be the best ones. Your tutorial will be very helpful to me; thank you very much again.
