Portrait de l'artiste Jeanette(Etats-Unis) Ajouté le 16 sept. 2009 à 15:04 Crayons de couleur
This portrait is in Tribute to actor, Patrick Swayze who fought a brave battle against cancer. I loved him in Dirty Dancing and Ghost. May he rest in peace.
Aw Thank you so much dear Anne Marie! I'm so glad that you like it as I wanted to draw a portrait in tribute and to remember him. He was a good actor but a great and brave man. May he rest in peace.
Jeanette, this is a great tribute. I will always remember the first time I saw Patrick Swayze in a movie (I cannot remember the name of it) ... it was a Vietnam War movie, he didn't have a major part (it may have been his first movie, I don't know) but I just looked at him and thought he was going to go far in the movie business, he looked to damn cute for words. I love this
Thank you kindly dear sweet sister Jeanz. He was a good actor but more than that he was a brave and wonderful man. Remember in the movie, Ghost when he was going into the light, he said to Demi, "The love, you take it with you". That movie is very special to me.
I'm intrigued my dearest friend. Why do you say he was "brave and wonderful"? I don't know his story at all. I don't read the tabloids because you don't know what to believe and they're screwing with your head half the time. Mmmm - I haven't seen "Ghost" for years now. I'll buy it, watch it and think of you.
Jeanz, Patrick was brave when he learned about the pancreatic cancer and he handled it with dignity. He was a wonderful husband to his wife Lisa and they were married a very long time. I hope you will watch Ghost again. The ending always affects me because of what he says to Demi. "The love, you take it with you" My father in law died at my daughter's wedding because he couldn't go on living without his wife who had just died 2 weeks before. My mom died from complications after she got Alzheimer's disease. We become stronger after we face tragedies. Sorry to go on like this. You have been through much worse, my dear friend. Huge hugs to you. Luv ya.
Wow Jeanette, that's so sad about your father-in-law. It's amazing how spousal death effects people in such different ways. Your in-laws must have shared the most incredible bond together ... as sad as it is, for those remaining on the physical plain, I think it's beautiful that they were together again so soon in the spiritual plain. I'm going to email you tonite to start the ball rolling so we can share so nicely about everything we have inside ourselves. KEEP SMILING my gorgeous friend
That was very traumatic for me and my family. Life hands you some curves and you just have to learn to deal with whatever comes your way. On the grave stone we wrote "Together Forever". They were so close & united and I never had that in my childhood so I admired them very much. May they rest in peace. Keep creating & smiling my dear friend.
My friend ... my creative jeanius is juicing itself up for the weekend - and of course she'll be forever on the lookout for her source of inspiration so keep them coming (but I always have the randoms to fall back on, don't I??? ) love you dearly
i applaud you my friend for this great tribute to a wonderful actor! i have sat the whole day sketching, and can you believe after 4 sketches i just cannot get Patricks face!!! i am at wits end now... i so badly wanted to submit my tribute to him.... i am going to give it one more try, otherwise i just have to say an extra little prayer for him....
Thank you so much my dear friend Biggsy. I found this photo of him on Google and had to draw him. In the Movie, GHOST, before he goes into the light, he says to Demi, "The love, you take it with you" That movie is very special to me. I hope you can see it one day my sweet sister.

Thank you my dear friend Merleen. It's good to hear from you. I really appreciate your kind comments. I had missed you. Patrick was a wonderful and brave man, as well and as a great dancer & actor. Did you see the movie Ghost? He was great in that movie and in Dirty Dancing too. RIP Patrick!
