they write in roles for CGI characters, Pixar animation, Dream Factory scenery and instead of a 'cast of thousands, Spielberg & Lucas Film bring in a 'crew of thousands' -- not complaing mind you -- everyone wants that 200 million $ weekend! 'cause they spent 199!
I loved it when you got a cast of thousands To my simple mind it was very impressive( mind you, the film may have been dire, but Hey count those extras)
Luke Skywalker surrounded by the cast, Captain Kirk & crew, Susan Sarandon with the Rocky Horror ensemble ... the cults & comic book die-hards never die do they? The X-Men, The LOST fan, The Twilighters, The Potters ... they just change their stripes But in a way, Cheney was CREATING the cult genre, and there's 22 y. o. Al's comment below mine ... so ... you DO still get extra credit for that!
I think it all started with "Intolerance" round about 1st. World War time.Extravagant , massive sets and , of course, cast of thousands. Never saw it , but even in stills, you couldn't count the extras Great!! Through "Gone with the Wind" to Cecil B. Demille I loved them all!! And most of Chaney's characters would now be C.G.Images. Well!!!!, I guess I'm just a grumpy old man who could go on and on, except for the one-fingered typing. That is something you can be grateful for.
For sure! And not just CG Characters, they're cereal boxes and soon ... emoticons! Gosh Mikey, look at this! This guy doesn't look ANYthing like Count Chocula!
I think the grumpiest of all are the ones who are sooooo PROUD of their "not-quite-good-enough" stuff! Northern girl gets on a plane...sits next to Southern Girl who says, "Hi! Where yaw'll from?" Northern Girl says, "We are from a place where we do not choose a preposition with which to end our sentences." -- "Oh, 'scuse me," says Southern Girl, "I meant to say, where yaw'll from, bitch."
