Hey, you did it, Emano. Thank you so much for dedicating your portrait to me. I absolutely adore that man. Sorry I didn't see this until now. My husband and I went to Ft. Worth, Texas this past week. Great portrait. I love it. Many, many thanks, dear Emano.
You are welcome. You have earned it, Emano. And please, I don't want you to think I did not appreciate your dedicating this portrait to me, because I do appreciate it. I also noticed the extra TLC you gave this portrait. I like Urs' eyes, the smooth skin, the fact that you did not heavily outline his lips, but shadowed them instead. Your variety of textures in this portrait, is noticeable. Even the background is interesting.
you are always welcome too,
your appreciate is a honor to me and I liked your advise Because I am always had difficulty in lips and I pass it now,I am happy in this result & aspire for more .
have beautiful day!
Hi Emano. This is a true story. I made the mistake of outlining my lips in an early portrait I drew of myself (c1955) in my Eastern Air Lines stewardess uniform, copied from a colored photo. My drawing was black and white (graphite pencils), so the outlined lips were very noticeable. Later, I drew that portrait again, but with colored pencils, That time I was careful NOT to outline my lips in the drawing. Most women wear lipstick, so their lips are usually more prominent than are men's. The upper lip of a man's mouth is the only one that is shaded a bit. Often the lower lip is barely noticeable, except for a slight shadow beneath it. This is some valuable information that was told to me, so I am passing it along.
I read your messages earlier, but couldn't answer them, then. When I tried to get back online later, I couldn't. I had to call an AT&T technician for help. I could get online, but when I tried to type in a website's name, such as this one, nothing happened. All I saw in the blank space was a pulsing curser. The "techie" discovered that it was my keyboard that was causing the problem. He had me disconnect it, turn off the computer, then connect the keyboard again, and boot up (start the computer again). That worked, and here I am.
Actually, I don't know who Urs Bülher is However I can say that he's very handsome and that you've drawn him very well
Congratulations for this portrait emano
