I loved the pose. The structure on the photo was super it was close up and personal which is helping with the rendering of the fine features. Now I am learning more about the right photos to use for the best results. Have a great weekend Anne Marie and keep up the fantastic work I wait with anticipation for each of your new pieces.
Hi Lise good to hear from you I always look for your pictures of Barbara and love all of them good to see them here. Have a great weekend and keep in touch. Do you ever go on Facebook. I have a page there if you deside to join or are presently a member.
Thanks Bashya I still struggle with my values. But this turned out pretty good. I am still not where I hope to be with the pencil. But it will come with practice. Have a good weekend and try to get some rest I will be awaiting your new works!!
I am not familiar with this individual, but I admire your drawing of her. The face is lovely. So expressive! What's all of this about a cast? I noticed you told Jeanette that it would soon be off. What has happened to you, my friend? I hope this "accident" will not prevent you from enjoying today. May I wish you a "HAPPY THANKSGIVING?
suffering from Carpal Tunnel syndrone for some time now I work packing steel wedge anchors the kind that are used in bridges big buildings and railroads etc. I have done this for 31 years and my hands are beginning to break down. Oh well we all get older. The operation went well but I remain in a cast on my right dominent hand the one I draw with. We are going to my Nephews house for Thanksgiving and yesterday was our 31 anniversary too so we went to the Buffet at Blue Chip Casino to celebrate so we are having a good time. I will be in the cast until Dec.4th. Then be out of work for another four weeks aprox. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and thanks for commenting dear Joyce!!!!
I am sorry to hear about your Carpal Tunnel problem. I hope the operation will eliminate the misery you have been experiencing. I can see where your job hasn't been a help in that area. I know what you mean about getting older. I have noticed arthritis creeping into my hands, mainly the fourth and little fingers on my right hand. So far, my left hand (my drawing hand) is all right, except when I close it into a fist. Both hands hurt now, when I am opening them after doing that. The fingers become "locked" when in a closed fist position, and it is painful opening them. Grabbing ahold of items, results in the same feeling when I let go. Still, I am not complaining. I am doing pretty good at 78 years. Better than the alterrnative. I wish you a speedy and successful recovery.
I have two braces that keep my hands and wrists straight at night. For the locking of the knuckles my doctor suggested to tie a wash rag around the four fingers at night to keep them from locking at night. Not much fun when that happens!!!
