Which state are you from I live in Indiana off Lake Michigan. Five minutes from Lake Michigan by car. I can see the Chicago sky line across the water on a clear day about 60 miles away by car.

Wow you are far far away but I have been to California I went to Disneyland, Bush Gardens drove to the Movie stars homes and walked down Hollywood and vine and saw the Gramen Theater hollywood sign etc. This was some years ago now. Can't remember the name of your town where The Wild One was based on though. I did also go to Sandiago zoo and we saw the Salton Sea and then proceeded to Las Vagas too. So it was a trip of a life time lots of years ago now.

It was based on what happened in Hollister. Disneyland is my favorite place. I haven't gone to that Zoo.

I was told that the Sandiago Zoo is ranked second in the world and I certainly can see why. Hope you get to go there someday. Thanks for the information about Hollister. It is interesting to know that about The Wild One.
