Very interesting as your first work, welcome, Mostly very good excllent likeness, shading very good I would ban all mobile phones as they take rubbish phopto's that do nothing for your work. Try lighting your work up with either sun light or a table lamp then switch off the camera's flash as the flash robs the white paper and it goes dark many artists like this effect but only when a darker background is used. I'm not calling over your work just the presentation of it we all have to learn this as I did. The use of carcoal was very good a tip for you is that graphite pencils can be very dark as weel and also graphite block I would also use just a small amout of white chalk for the eye shine.
