BRILLIANT!!! ... I immediately thought of you when I saw this Jeff Buckley portrait - and WALLA! - it was one of yours!!! The colours are amazing ... the tone of the picture awesome and so original. I really love it!!!
It's good. It's new. It's refreshingly different! It has a very sophisticated tonal thing going on & I like it a lot --- but --- and yet --- still --- Im sensing a shift in the Buckley/Bellamy deification process??
I was just kidding I guess. I went back and looked to see if I might have meant more artistic and less idol worship - but it was always good and never myopic. So .... maybe I thought -- as you say -- more iconographic - less recording -- at any rate -- it's all good!!!
To me Jeff Buckley is simply a very very interesting artist, so no Buckley shrine in my bedroom...lol!
And I didn't have any 'problems' with the word 'deification' - I knew what you meant with that.
I just wanted to know what kind of shifts you've been noticing. That's all. And thanks for the answer!
I understand, it never looked obsessive. When I was 22, I was only in 1st gear. I was going 90 miles per hour, but there were many shifts still to come! I'll bet there will be many for you too.
