I love it Great to here of someone in the same boat. "Oh, you're a painter? could you paint my bedroom?" NO NO NO !!!Probably I dislike it because I'm not very good at it!! To distinguish between the two types of painting my wife calls it painting if I'm painting walls. When I'm being creative she calls it " colouring in"!!!!!!!!

You're right. Turns out it was an impersonator who thought he looked like both characters....and Rudyard Kipling too!!

Was he for real, or were you on the nightshade at that time?

As real as an impersonator gets. He looked more like Kipling than Alf or Sean.

I remember many, many years ago I saw a young American impersonater on British T.V. He was a complete unknown and came over as a guest on only one show. He did an uncanny James Dean and yet, with a hat , he did a perfect Henry Fonda from "Golden Pond". Don't know whatever happened to him. His name, I remember, was Jim Carrie.

Jim Carrey is now a huge star! I remember him from that era too - on the Wayans Brothers tv show. He was totally different and helped to send comedy in a new direction.

Long may his star shine, Hope Hollywood doesn't suck him dry (as so iften happens) I do know who he is, only reminiscing

He's sort of collapsed into a 'young male' goofy exploitation mode --- but he makes truckloads of money with every tiresome picture

T.V. series and film "types" have killed off better than him, but it is always sad to see. But we musn't feel sorry for the millionaires

Did you ever see more than a snippet of one of those stinkers? In the 'comeback' TV special, he affected that mock smile/sneer at one point & a band member snickered. He said, "Don't laugh. That smile got me through 37 pictures."

I saw a great stage play,which started (before flashbacks) with E.P.s funeral. The Col. was shown with a vent. dummy of E.P. and said "Good career move , son"
