Thank you, Nihale. I dare say it would not have come out this well, had I drawn Cameron with colored pencils, instead of with graphite pencils. I am still more comfortable using graphite for my drawings. Lately I have been doing some portraits of family members and close friends. I think it is good practice to draw those that are near and dear to us; not just famous people
You're welcome, Joyce. Your portraits with colored pencils are admirable too, you draw very well using them. Sorry for not posting comments, I've been too busy for about three months... I agree with you, although it's easier to me to draw famous people because their photos are made by professional photographers and perfected with photoshop, it's good to draw also people dear to us, their portraits are more expressive
Don't worry about your eyes! it's not clear because the avatar is too small. There was a Passion flower vine in our neighbours' garden, it's very beautiful but, unfortunately, very rare in Morocco.
Yes, I miss the plants I grew in San Antonio. I cannot grow them in OKC. Besides the passion flower vine, I had some banana plants, and a gardenia plant. I love the smell of gardenias. I have been to Ceuta, but of course that part of Morocco is under Spain's governing. I always wanted to go to Marrakesh, but it doesn't look like I ever will.
Thank you, dear friend. I've had some computer problems, but I think I've got them straightened out now. Also, I've drawn some family members, but of course I can't post them here, as they are not famous.
Hey beautiful! Your gallery sure is impressive! Hope you are doing ok! my house is empty again, very quiet around here... i still owe you an email... Speak to you soon!
So, you are having a breather now. House guests gone, so it is back to the drawing board? I have done a couple of family member drawings, and one of a Czech friend, recently. Nice drawing someone other than a celebrity, for a change.
It is great to draw other people as well! I might be getting guests again in November... but my friends like to sometimes send an email a month before and say, hey, you home?
I have to remember that our seasons are just the opposite, Biggs. November is spring in South Africa? We will be preparing for winter when November comes here. I don't want to think about that yet, as we are just getting away from winter here.
yes you are right we have Spring in November... and our Christmas are wearing a bikini and sarong, because it is so hot here! Very strange to then see Christmas decorations with Santa Claus dressed in boots, warm jacket and hat!!! He should be wearing bathers and a towel with sandles!!! oh and Sunglasses!!!
Your Christmas would be awfully hard for kids in our country to reconcile with the poem, TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS. If there is no snow, how could Santa and his reindeers land the sleigh on a snow covered roof? Maybe Santa has a sleigh with wheels on it, for trips to South Africa. If it is too hot for the reindeer they could stay home and rest. Perhaps Santa could enlist the help of some Zebras to pull his sleigh.
now you are putting great ideas in my head for Christmas!! one year i decorated our christmas tree with african ethnic dolls and wooden crafted wild animals, it looked soooo nice! Now i owe you 2 emails!!! i took some photographs on a day outing to the South African Air Force Museum, with the aeroplanes and i can send you photos of my christmas "african decor" tree....
Well, just because we might share conversation over a cup of tea, I am not going to read your tea leaves! I gave my Tarot cards to our youngest daughter, so I can't use them either.
well.... i am a scorpio starsign Ms Leo,.... so i might just be able to roll my eyes backwards in my head and come forward with my own funny and crazy stories!
Excellent and remarkable work dear Joyce! I have missed you and I'm so glad to see a new portrait from you. I'm having computer problems again. Hugs to you dear friend.
It was fun to view your gallery again. Haven't been here a lot lately. Been busy as I told you drawing family members for my family tree. I met some new relatives through Facebook and am having fun getting to know the family I didn't know before. They are all really nice and the new faces are a great challenge and so much fun for me. I will be drawing more movie stars but haven't been inspired lately. Did do that Connie Marshall for Malcolm James who is the administrator for Connie's official web site. I am their honorary artist.
That explains why we haven't heard much from you recently. It is good that you have "found" some relatives on Facebook. I have drawn several family members also, but of course I can't put them on this site. Congratulations on being named "honorary artist" on the Connie Marshall site.
Thanks Ray. I don't know what else to say, except you really should stop tripping through my gallery. I drew this portrait of Cameron exactly a year and 10 days after I drew my first portrait.

Thank you, Nihale. Your avatar looks like a flower, but what is on top of it? A bee?

There is nothing on top of it, it's a flower called passion flower, you can see it here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passion_flower

Golly! My eyes are really bad.
Sorry! I had a Passion Flower vine in our backyard, when we lived in San Antonio, Texas. Each bloom only lasts one day.

Don't worry about your eyes! it's not clear because the avatar is too small. There was a Passion flower vine in our neighbours' garden, it's very beautiful but, unfortunately, very rare in Morocco.

Wow! Los ojos encantadores de Cameron Diaz iluminan tu galería (Salió una rima
) Bravooo my dear Joyce

What? Me, putting ideas in your head? That'll be the day. You are way ahead of me with ideas, gal.

Well, just because we might share conversation over a cup of tea, I am not going to read your tea leaves! I gave my Tarot cards to our youngest daughter, so I can't use them either.

Yes, I'll just bet you can, Miz Terrific! Scorpio is Ed's Zodiac sign, also.

That is correct! Ed will be 81 this November first.

Excellent and remarkable work dear Joyce! I have missed you and I'm so glad to see a new portrait from you. I'm having computer problems again. Hugs to you dear friend.

Thank you, Jeanette. I've had a couple of computer problems lately, too.

Thank you. I have been to Montreal, twice. Lovely city. Unfortunately those times, were many years ago.

Very nice. The smile is sooo her!

Thank you 2tones.

Thank you, Svetliaciok.

WONDERFUL MY DEAR

Thanks, Peggy. Coming from a fine artist like you, those are lovely words to hear.

Again, I thank you.

Great structure on the feature build here Joyce great work honey!!!

Thanks, dear Christine. Goodness, you needn't have gone through my whole gallery.
