Roberto Saviano is an Italian journalist, writer and essayist. He is the author of international bestsellers Gomorrah about Naples' Mafia and ZeroZeroZero about international illegal drug traffic.
The success of his book created numerous problems for Saviano, starting with threatening letters, silent phone calls, and, above all, a sort of environmental isolation.
Because of the threats and intimidations Saviano endured, then it was decided to assign police protection to the writer.
