i work with corel painter and photoshop(and a dozen other programs!) for nearly 9 years, all of my paintings and drawings rendered in computer and by light Pen.i invite you to see my little charcoal (digital charcoal!) portrait of Bogart in next hours.
I saw it. I already saw your Antonio Banderas. That also looks like charcoal. They all look so real. It's amazing. Did you ever try pastels and charcoal for real? Can you do that too? But these portraits are fantatic.
I am a traditional artist in the first place. Computer is only a tool, a more sophisticated tool. If you don’t know how to use visual elements, computers will be useless. I paint and draw in traditional ways also, but computers make all things easy and fast.
Well, that's true, but does it have to be easy and fast??! To my opinion, a real drawing or painting has more value. But nevertheless, the portraits you make this way on your computer, are very good. You also have to studie on the details to make them look like this. And you are doing a good job. By the way, did you see my recently submitted portrait of James Hetfield? How do you think about that? And thanks for your answers...Bye....Mariette
