Merci, Mentine, heureuse qu'il te plaise ce portrait esquisse! J'essaie d'aller un peu plus loin techniquement, en utilisant toujours une base feutre noir mais en l'enrichissant avec la couleur intense d'aquarelles très pigmentées...Et la beauté d'Anna m'a littéralement transportée...Ca fait longtemps que j'aime les oeuvres de Feuerbach (j'adore notamment son Paolo et Francesca très juvénile). Et comme habituellement, je fais des portraits de peintres (même si je me réserve le droit de faire aussi celui d'Anselm parce qu'il me plaît énormément), pour une fois, je dessine et peins une muse, égérie, modèle. Car mine de rien, sans ces dames, beaucoup de peintres hommes n'auraient pas eu la carrière et la renommée qu'ils ont eus. Alors rendons à la belle romaine, un peu des honneurs qui lui sont dus, n'est-ce pas? Pour les couleurs, le tableau originel de Feuerbach m'a aidée, même si j'ai poussé certains tons pour faire quelque chose de plus moderne et cru.

J'essaie de faire ça quand mon modèle relève d'un tableau. Ca m'oblige à garder une cohérence d'écriture graphique, ce que j'ai encore du mal à faire. Et à faire une synthèse aussi. Ce qui n'est pas une mince affaire non plus pour moi Mais j'y arriverai un jour, à force de travail et d'entêtement... Merci beaucoup pour tes encouragements, Mentine.

Waouuuuuh, thank you very much, Tom! You are so kind...I try different things, technics...but I suppose Anna Risi has a special power on me with her lover Anselm . Or it's the result of moonlight on me yesterday night??? I hope progress more and more to touch what I have in my mind with painting and drawing. Masters of painting with their art are good guides for me. I learn very much with them. I don't know where I go with their lessons (with watching of their drawings or paintings) in the future, but I feel it's important to me. Thank you to give me your professionnal advice. It gives me help and self confidence to progress. Very important too for me.

For me, all artist here is a wonderful and sensitive person. With a big big special talent. It's a big chance to me to see it. My quest is my obsession. But I learn with you, with all artists here and artists from past too. I try to give my heart and my soul in my paintings and drawings as you and everybody here. Because without art expression, we couldn't live. We are different in style but not different in our way of art. And it's like a big family. And it gives us courage and energy in our lifes. So, no I feel not my gallery as so different. I know you think different and maybe other artists here. But for me, we are in the same way. I understand you too and the joke, Tom. But I'm not in the meaning to think I'm more equal than others. For me it would be ridiculous, crazy to think this, because sharing art, culture is very important to me. And it's my job. I believe in it and teach art for equality.

I love the colours

Thank you, Kerstin. If you go to see the original painting, Feuerbach has choosen gorgeous colors with a glacis of brown to quiet the backside. But he uses oil painting. With aquarelle and in my point of view, it's more interessant to play with high colors because we work with light and colors differently. And finally these colors are very present in german painting at the end of 19th century.

Thank you very much, Dorothy. I'm very happy you appreciate my drawing. I love paintings of her lover, Anselm. So I can't resist to draw Anna. She was a incredible beautiful model for different artists painters...We celebrate artists but models were important too. And this woman was a real star for painters at this end of 19th century. At the end of her life, different young painters visited her in the poor room she lived in Rome. Because they wanted to thank her for dream, desire, inspiration she created for artists. For me too. She is a source of inspiration. So I wanted thank her for this and celebrate her beauty. Thank you very much for her. I suppose she helped me and Anselm too when I drew her.

Avec plaisir et merci beaucoup. Une belle muse peinte par son amant, Anselm Feuerbach. J'avais été séduite ado par son tableau Paolo et Francesca sur un gros bouquin Magnard. Je m'étais toujours demandée qui avait posé pour Francesca. C'était Anna Risi et Anselm s'était représenté en Paolo adolescent. Tellement beau témoignage d'amour...ça m'a bouleversée quand j'ai découvert ça récemment. Alors il fallait que je les dessine ces deux amants. Seul Feuerbach a été pris en photo noir et blanc. D'Anna, il n'y a que les portraits peints, aucune photo. Alors j'ai pris un des portraits peints par Feuerbach pour vous la faire connaître. Je vous montrerai un peu plus tard Anselm.

Ce que j'ai compris de leur aventure, c'est que l'histoire d'amour d'Anna et Anselm leur a permis de cocréer ensemble d'une façon très passionnée et inspirante pour plusieurs générations de peintres. Pour moi, ça fait donc partie d'un patrimoine artistique à honorer et célébrer. Leur oeuvres m'aident à mieux comprendre l'utilisation de la couleur, des contrastes, de certains effets. Même si Anselm peignait à l'huile, y a des trucs qui peuvent s'utiliser à l'aquarelle, à l'acrylique, aux pastels...Et si ça m'aide moi, ça peut vous aider vous aussi. Donc je partage. Un séducteur, mais aussi un grand maître de la peinture classique et romantique. Avec Anna, ils ont réussi une espèce de miracle tellement l'impact des tableaux d'Anselm est puissant. Si je suis parvenue un tout petit peu à restituer ça via mon dessin aquarellé, tant mieux. C'est un enseignement de plus, important certainement pour la suite du parcours. Un grand merci

Thank you very much, Righterrj! . It gives me courage to progress and work more and more. In this drawing, beautiful Anna Risi helped me and her lover and painter Anselm Feuerbach too. It was as special drawing like a spiritual guidance. I feel it in few paintings and drawings. Why? I don't know. But I suppose they guide me when I draw or paint to teach me something special. If you see the original painting portrait of Anna Risi by Feuerbach, you see a big visual impact. More than my little drawing. His painting with Anna are always strong, attractive. Magic power maybe? I suppose their love give it to Anselm a special guidance in his art. A third energy which was created by love between them. For me it's very mysterious, attractive, generous lesson. It's a part of my quest in my art since few years. So, for me it's a big stage to understand what I must do to progress and give my soul and my love in my art.
