He is Kirk Douglas in his memorable role as Vincent Van Gogh. I used impasto brushes and used all of my knowledge to create something near to paintings of that great master and martyr of Art. My original photo model was an old black and white.

Wow! I don't usually comment on digital paintings, but this one's really good. I think you really succeeded in making it look like Van Goghs paintings.

I was going to tell you that you really approached the style of van gogh before I read your descrition of the drawing!!! I like everything in your painting, especially the hat!! :grin:

thanks, thick impasto oil paints created a nice texture. i will use it again in future! :blowkiss:
