But, what I like in yours is the hair for example. the way you worked shadows. We don't see the lines. It's better than mine
Clothing is not my fave because I don't like spending time on texture and details so your portraits with necklines and collars are more detailed. Of course, all your subjects have hair, so lots of opportunity for practice with each pic. Hair is on my list of things to improve on so I'm on the lookout for good examples to learn from, too.
I think that you are already near to this style, don't you?
Oh, and, by the way, I'm wondering where I saw Blythe Daner. In a TV show, probably, but I did not know she were Gwyneth Paltrow's mother!
I don't follow celebs that closely. At most, I know some names and faces...but they do present themselves to be great subjects for portraiture > clear, distinguishable features, easily recognizability means you know instantly if you drew them correctly. Re hair...I tried the "technique" on Drew instinctively and carried it a bit further with Miley after studying more examples.
I understand what you mean cause, when I choose a photo to draw, I know that some of them won't be a good idea because it is not characteristic of the celebrity. If he/she is not so recognizeable on the photo, we know that people won't easily recognize him/her on a drawing
