That umbrella was painted too? it looks different like style which you used on face

The background was created by short tip oil brush of corel painter but I used gradient tool within umbrella.

thanks.I am satisfied by colors but when I look at it again the nose is not all right. Audrey's nose was more elegant. It seem I have to work harder and more accurate.

I respect your honesty and humbleness. Audrey is my next project (my first female portrait in a long time). Shanin we are our harshest judges. All paintings, whatever the medium used, have little imperfections, I had not noticed the nose until you mentionned it because the rest of the painting is so very good. Bravo to you

The problem is when we work on a project we get so familiar to it that we can not recognize the faults. When we separate from it (emotionally and physically) we can see the flaws. Titian (the great Italian painter) painted part of the work and leaved it. After some days (or weeks) he returned to work and resumed his job.

Shanin - Titian was right - we do have to back off a bit and take a closer look after a few days. I try to do that. The reason why I do not produce works at very high speed. Mind you, it takes nothing away from the quality of your works - they are fabulous.

I think about my works as daily exercises. In painting program you can open blank white papers (better to say files!) and begin again. Very tempting experience! Every new work learns me something new. These bits of knowledge are my treasures. They accumulate gradually and you can find you wealthier step by step!

As I watch artists with talent like yourself, I also learn. I see so much talent on this site - it is simply amazing. I try to visit as many galleries as I can. So far I have found 10 to 12 artists that I really consider talented in my humble opinion. Of course that includes you - Shanin.

indeed we do...I think this was your largest external "prop" (maybe John Wayne's horse) ...but now, there's King Kong! They're all very fine!

My great dream is painting a super realistic Alien, or Predator. I think it is a great challenge for a painter. Those nasty jaws and deformed skulls. But I have not found satisfactory photo models!
