Thank you I took just under 30minutes I'm not boasting I just want to show how easy it is to paint your own thing. If I took hours I would over work it. I like your gallery, but painting the same person over and over for me it's not my thing. Each to their own.
wow awsome thats so cool i think it might be even better than the last one i saw awsome job dude who knew that anything could look that good in watercolour xxx great job i love it xx
Thank you, Welcome to another Bill K fan. I've never had an interest in them but because all you fans are so keen on him I suppose i'll have to listen to his music next.
Thank you, there are a lot of simple skills in watercolour, try it first and if you get a problem then I'm here and I'll help you. Look at a say your drawing of Bill K draw it again with a Watercolour pencil black and grey then apply water lightly and brush colour onto the watery paper what an effect. Play like in school.
no i havent got a printer unless i just copy straight off the screen! xx i really need to finish 2 portraits of bill including this one then i am finished drrawing him and moving on to other celebrities so its kind of the end for me being on her all the time but il still come on her to check all of your new work of bill kXx
Thank you, for positive comments on mine. I've visited your gallery and left a few comments, you have talent for drawing. Draw bigger!
I drew this with a Japanese paint brush. First a under wash in light blue to outline the face (black) because very wet, I dragged a brushes other end through black for hair. Took dirty water that I washed out my brushes with and painted lips, nostrils and noses. Payne's grey for eye, finally used black Jap. brush to do little bit of detail. No drawing just looked at a photo. I'm not boasting just trying to help. Be bold.
annh! il est merveilleusement beau !
c'est vraiment... wahouh!
si jamais vous avez quelques minutes, pourriez vous passer voir mes portraits pour me donner quelques conseils svp?
mercii
bonne continuation!
WOW! This portrait caught my eye!
It's not just because he's my idol, who I most admire but also because of the perfection of the portrait.
Ok, it took you just 30 minutes but I still think it's great! I love your technique, you're really awesome in doing portraits!
And, yes, you should listen to their music ahah
Congrats!
Thank you, because the painting is large and although no painting is easy the bigger they are, the easier they become. They impress because their large or in a different plane to the normal. So long as I keep likeness I'm happy. I've painted for 50 years but 6months ago I had a cataract’s removed from my eyes and after 5 years of 25% vision, I now paint semi automatically. Music, I will listen to them at some later date, I like a lot of new groups mainly because I was a child and teenager of the sixties.
50 years? wow! that's really striking! Well, I'm just 15 years- old but I draw since I remember, of course that portraits I just have been drawing a few years ago altough just in the few months I found myself in love with this hobbie, really a passion!
my father also removed cataracts but I guess he was not really lucky because he lost some of his vision after the surgery! anyway, you're really talented and it's amazing how, after removing cataracts, you still draw perfectly!
about the music, my favourite band is Tokio Hotel but I love a lot of bands of that genre, so I can advise you about that I specially like german music altough I'm not from Germany!
Anyway, thanks for sharing your work and being so nice! It's always a pleasure to learn with so many talented people!
Thank you, Plenty of contrast this is a sketch, done with a brush, but the same disciplines of drawing apply. Light, darkness, shade, contrast one side of the drawing is dark, each corner holds a little gift of interest. Although the black is very black, the slight changes in tone make it stand out, I painted this only to teach. I will paint another one day to help someone else. This took 30minutes to paint and 30minutes to think about. Once you learn the skills, techniques, tips of drawing painting is easy.
Thank you, Because I listen to the advise of others. My favourite painter is Frenchman Edgar Degas. he said 'art is not what you see, but what you make others see'! and to me art is about originality, technique and likeness and this is attained by the hard work of practice, perseverance and patience. Keep drawing.
