Hi shahin, speaking of magician, I think art is much like creating nothing but an illusion, especially when working monochromatically. How in the world does one's eyes get fooled into seeing what is made up of simply varying shades of one single colour?? Drawing became easier once I understood this. It's all about tricking the eye...

I generally use numerous colors, but I love monochromatic works also. in addition The B&W movies are great. They show us a more dreamlike and dramatic image of the world. All those comedies and gangster movies of 30's and 40's have a quality that is not reproducible in a color version. When they tinted by hands or computers they lost their excellence.

You are absolutely right! Perhaps if they had your keen sense of colour, the brilliance would be preserved if not improved
