This is one of my favorite Muhammad Ali portraits yet. I really like the effect it has, its hard to tell what medium you used. and seeing that you used watercolor I can appreciate it even more.

Thank you, It's a watercolour skill that I have worked on! most people doubt it and think it’s a cheat. It’s easy when you know how and quick to do? I like this painting because by complete accident I captured a look. It was to be just an ordinary wet painting but when it dried, I saw that the cheeks and background that marbling effect, it pleased me so I stopped there and then. He was a great influence on me when I was a young bullied boy. His cheeky disregard for the older bullying Sonny Liston made me a braver young man.

Thank you when I was a child and early teenager, I modelled with clay and also, in school I made large figures, from paper and cigarette packets. I also drew and painted at school. I have a very practical mind and can make or built anything. I also studied Technical drawing, although I am a poor at grammar and spelling and have some traits of Dyslexia. If my grammar and spelling had been better I would have gone to art school. :)

Thank you, Four different techniques of painting two are skills and two are colour tone work, I have done this as a large portrait with a copper effect on the shine. Skill one the used of dirty water to make facial marks. The use of sponge work on the neck giving a dapled effect looks difficult but is quite easy. The balance of light and how to show the face for the best contrast. Finally the balance of the grey to black across the piece with perfect background. Also their is the skills of resembalance I like to call it likeness. Mood and the making of the feeling of depth. OK and 48 years of not getting it right as I've worked to get it. This was a 2 hour painting I remmember it. :8)
