Portrait de l'artiste Mariette(Hollande) Ajouté le 4 juin 2008 à 14:27 Huile
Flea: the bass player of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. A picture from the concert in Nijmegen (Netherlands) in 2007 on their Stadium Arcadium tour. Very funny guy.
It took me a while to finish it, but here it is...
Mariette - This is amazing - the details, the colors, everything is perfect. I love it. YOU ARE THE TALENTED ONE!!!! Your works should be in an exhibition - they definitely have the quality and originality to be there.
Really, really impressed.
Hi Eric, you are véry, véry, véry kind for me. Maybe I have a little bit of talent (people say so) but not more than you have. Absolutely not. I tried to put something of my own creativity in it as you said (thanks for that). It's the Chili Peppers logo in the red "marker". The red paint is thicker here, but you can't see it on the photograph (I'm not so good in making photographs , but hey, you can't do it all, isn't it). And about the exhibition...shall we do that together ? because yours deserve that too. Thank you Eric, I really appreciate your words. You make me feel good
Just the truth Mariette. You have an awesome talent. A little personal touch adds more dimension to a painting and makes it so much more original - you succeeded very well. My poor little paintings in a Gallery would look terrible beside yours. Keep it up, you have the talent to make it in the world of Art!!!
About the personal touch, you are right. I see that in your work and I love that. So I must say, you are the creative one here! Your paintings are GREAT Eric!!! Don't be so insecure!!! You would do yourself short (oops, don't know if this is good english). And if you don't believe me..you have already one fan..me !! And to be honest, I don't know how to integrate in the world of art. I may have some talent but not the right education, in fact no art education at all. So, I think it would be hard.
Glad to see you add that little personal touch. You are just as creative as myself and a great artist. You are very generous towards my paintings. I am also a great fan of yours. I am like you, I have no formal art training and I do not know how to go about setting up an exhibition. I think we are very much alike in some ways.
Yes, I think so too towards you. We are very similar in a couple of ways. I feel so. And about that exhibition, that could be handy because at this time, I'm running out of walls If I want to, I can show my paintings in a music school from a friend. Must do that someday, together with another friend (also on this site. Look at her work: ellyhalfers) (She made me paint with oil and this technique)Thanks to her too(she knows ). Thank you Eric for your kind words again
Whant a coincidence because I was browsing the site and I came upon your friend Elly's Gallery. Her works are amazing. You are two very talented artists but with completely different styles. Together if the chance arises you could organize an exhibition with her. I am sure it would be a hit,
I want to thank you for your support, believe me it is more than appreciated,
Certainly Eric. It's a great pleasure for me if I can give you the confidence you deserve and you are absolutely more than welcome too ..Keep in touch..
you are a very nice and friendly man and I like having all these conversations with you. You are a great artist too and your hints and tips are very worthy to me.
Mariette, thank you. Your comments make me feel so good. I respect your opinions and I find you are a very talented artist. I always look forward to seeing a mail from you when I log in.
A very good work, the drawing is remarkable, the perspective work is really admirable mainly that of both hands, the expression of the well achieved face, the well worked colors, a work in I surge that it demonstrates your great domain. Gives a lot of emotion contemplating a work as yours.
Wooww, thank you. That are a whole lot of kind words. I think this painting is pretty good and pretty cool but I still see things what can be approved. I always have that. Maybe that's my problem. He's looking great hanging on my wall, so I think I can be satisfied. Thanks again for your very nice reaction. I appreciate it very much
My dear friend Mariette, you are quite modest about your work that demonstrates that you are big, we all are our severe critical we are hardly ever happy with that we make and that partly this well, because it allows us to overcome us but I admire your work and you have enough that talent, excuses my English one but it is not so good, receives a kiss and hug of friendship from the distant Peru.:
Yes that's also me when it's about my own work. I think it's good to stay critical on your works. So you can become better the next time and learn from it.
Your english is very good. I understand your nice words completely. Thank you very much
Many thank you friend Mariette, I feel very honest having been chosen as one of your favorite artists coming from you, I don't make but that to incline my head in deep given gratefulness the quality of your work and your person, receives a kiss and hug of friendship of this your admirer insurance.
Well thank you. That's very nice but you don't have to bow for me. I'm not the queen !! I'm just a girl who loves to paint and it's very nice to talk about it with other artists. And to me you are one of them. You are very friendly ...Mariette
I hadn't seen this one yet. And, I love it! Are you getting even better? The bass is wonderful, drapery is wonderful...rock on! I'm afraid of these new smileys - I don't know what they mean! :'D
Thanks but do you really think so? I always have the problem that when a painting is finished I see little imperfections that I have to correct. Maybe I'm too critical for myself.
You get used of these smileys...they won't bite
I guess many of us do that don't we?
I've revised paintings after I sold them!
I had the opportunity once to meet a great film director. He disapproved of a picture I had of myself standing beside a camera and gazing pensively into the distance. When I asked why he didn't like it, he said: "Because you are questioning! You must never let them see that you are questioning!" I don't agree with his thought but then I don't have any Academy Awards.
It seems to me like a great honour to meet such a man. And even though he didn't like it, you learned something of it. You can do your advantage of that, and now I can too. Thanks. (And don't worry about those Academy Awards )
Wow... Alex, thank you very much. Really appreciate it if you are saying this. You are a great artist and your work is absolutley amazing. I like it very much so I'll add you too to my favourites..see you..
