Thanks Asiulka I appreciate your comment. James Cagney was a great man. When I was young I wrote a letter to him we had a Cagney Club and sent pictures of our group to him. He wrote back and sent pictures of him and his wife. Wish I had that correspondense now it got lost.

Yes when we were young about fifty years ago now we had a James Cagney club in the neighborhood. James wrote a letter to us and sent pictures of he and his wife. We had sent him pictures of the gang of kids and that was very special to us. We eventually lost the letter but I would love to have the memento now. Oh well being kids we didn't value it as we should have.

When I saw YANKEE DOODLE DANDY, I cried when he lost his father. That scene was very touching. It's too bad that you lost the letter he wrote to you. What are you favourite films with Cagney ?

I loved Yankee Doodle Dandy of course and A Midsumer Nights Dream as this picture denotes him as puck. I also liked The Seven Little Foys and Lady Killer and of course Johnny Come Lately and later on Mister Roberts. I guess I love any film that he starred in you could say!!!!
