Jeanette, just one suggestion to try that I have been trying too. I dont do too much coloured pencil but it helps from the book I mentioned to try to flow your pencil lines close and in one even direction for skin tones...one thing to try. Thanks for asking!

Hi Christine, This is the first time I've ever tried colored pencils and was surprised that it came out pretty good. Acrylics is easier for me but that's because I'm used to it. You should try acrylics. Thanks.

Thanks Jeanette I will try it I used to work in gouche and I really liked it. I did a mural on my grand daughters wall in her room in acrylic it was a horse and on the other wall an elephant and its baby it turned out pretty good I think the girls loved it.

I loved this portrait , quite good for the beginning with colored pencils, one suggestion : accentuate more the shadows and brightness. Good job!
