Thank you, my favourite little actor she was outstanding in 'War of the Worlds' I have recreated the scene from the film where they are visited by the long mechanical allien and the tripod martains. I loved it because I could thow it together in 30 minutes no checking or blending just quick work. I'm very glad you (Martin, Amigo) like it. This and the Rob D Taxi driver is the real me!
Thank you for your comments, I have had a little problem completly reading your comments and I think they are positive. I have visited your gallery and you draw very well. I for many years drew drawings for myself but now I realise that other artist can give very good advise. I think all of the people I've talked to on this site have been very friendly and have helped me greatly,. So welcome to the family. Any help you may need then I'm here I'm sure WE will find away to comunicate better.
Keep drawing. Brainfree.
Thank you, I paint a lot of portraits and have many good comments, but I alway like the ones about the work and not the star, for me this held special meaning as it was a moment in a film that I watched many times to get the drama and then had to choose the look, thank you again for your comment.
Your're welcome she is a great little actress, I thought she was good in Steven Spielbergs 'Taken' which was on televison a few years ago and also in War of the Worlds.
Think how much of my work is detail, In the film War of The World, she's in the cellar that's were I painted it from. Dirty, dark wet and cold, all in my mind as I painted it. As little of her face without losing likeness. Then I used the black background on the left with a touch of green to give depth on that side and her blond hair on the top of the right side to give that side depth. The skin and eyes are all techniques from other paintings Ive done so for me it was easy, technique and depth. Think and look again.
A one off completly phot free and drawn whislt I watch the film 'War of the World' Wonderful young actress I hope I did her justice. It was such fun and a challenge. I don't think I would paint it different today, perhaps a little lighter
Thank you, one of my favs, as it is completly original. I drew it after watching the film, it is from the bit in the cellar when the alliens, nearly catch them.
