Thank you, very difficult ee to keep the shine. I had to blur out the pupil a little to make the shine and colur look extra intense.
I think it worked. The lips to were strange I had to bring shadow and light.
Yes I paint normally 5 - 10 paintings a day as practice, sometimes I put them on the site, but if their A3 I don't. I'm not a proffesional artist as I've never been to art school. but as self taught no one has ever said you 'can't do that' or 'do this it's easier'. So if I want some effect, I work it out on the principle of it's impossible, but HOW can I do that, At present, I'm trying to paint someone underwater not me the painter, but the subject. There is a scene in a film that a star floats away drowned she looks very beautiful and I'm going to paint that scene oneday. I've done a few trials, but not up to my own personal standards.
Oooh is it the scene out of The Bourne Supremacy or the Bond Film? Well if anyone can do it I think you can. You've revolutionised water colour painting!! 5-10 a day is a hell of an achievement! I can barely find the time to do 1 or 2 a month. Well keep painting because your work is awesome. I'm a big fan.
Thank you, I like your gallery your very good I realy think Sophie Marceau portrait is excellent and will call in again and leave a comment also I have decided to add you to my favs as I have very few men on it. Thanks again.
Thank you, OK, I find saying how long a bit like boasting. So I will say but you asked. Two days before I painted Jean Reno so later the same night I watched Leon again and then went on the net to find a photo, this I found after about and hour. So at 6am after waking up and not feeling very well, I settled down to first paint the watercolour sketch which is the most important part, this took about 35 minutes to get a likeness and the look I wanted. Then acrylic the brown and black on the eye also part of the red on the lips. I heaver painted the black in of the hair and touched up the flesh tones of the sketch. I put a little green in and pink for my interest then lightly built up around the eye with light purple all told about another 50 minutes. The 10 minutes to blend and flatten areas and finally put the spots on her face. About 1½ hours then scan and later that day onto the website.
Thank you, the eyes are done with a technique I have put together and it seems to get better and better this time I managed to keep a watery shine on the Iris. If at any time you what the technique just ask and I will give it to you.
Thank you, I've had a look at you gallery and I think your style of drawing and colouring would suit watercolour pencils and light watercolour paint like an illustrator. Using colour and paint to enhance your drawings although your colour work is very good with the use of slightly heaver paper for absorbancy when drawing would inable you to do tone for instead of shading. Just a thought if you want any help or tips on starting just ask.
j'adore ce film, et je trouve cette aquarelle tellement jolie,...
sensible, sure d'elle, attentive, inquiète, ... les émotions qu'elle dégage sont multiples,... et sincères!! bravo!!
