Excellent friend rvsa17 that well that you capture the face of your characters, you make it in a very remarkable way, here for example Daniel not shows alone his face very fact, if not his expression something that alone a good artist can achieve it, that feeling captured in drawing, Emma's perspective that you leave behind Daniel is formidable. I congratulate you friend you have a great talent.
thanks....ya i think this picture is much better in real as my scanner's settings went wrong and the line and strokes are not really nicely vissible....
The only improvement to think about is to use graphite powder and a tortillion to get blend your grays in. You can use paper towel or your finger to do that. Start your dark pattern first. Then work in your grays. Don't outline the lips think of them as soft and sort of smudge them in . Then you can darken then as you go. I try to work my faces like a skeleton. Remember that the eyes are a total circle and the mouths are also formed on a ball. The chin as well. Don't worry about likeness so much but work the structure. I took a course in sculpture which helped enormously.
Write to lionfish9@comcast.net and I can try to draw some rough sketches to help you get started on my technique.
thanks for your motivation...I am trying graphite powder but i am not that good at it..once i get the touch i'll start making with it.......i will deffinately try to improve my style of drawing lips and as far as writing to you is conerned that would be lovely mam it will be an honour to get guidence from you.....
When using graphite powder I just put a small amount in a butter dish lid. Then use very sparingly it goes a very long way. You can apply a wash of lighter fluid to both graphite and colored pencil . I use both stonehedge paper and bristol smooth. These papers seem to take a lot of abuse and won't ruin as easily. Be careful with the bristol though it tends to shred sometimes with wet applications. Don't buy the lighter fluid in the tin can it rusts buy it in the plastic container. It dries imediately and will give you a smooth transition with the blending.I guess you will just have to experiment see what works for you.
THANKS MAM FOR THIS TIP I'LL SOON TRY TO PERFORM THIS ACTIVITY.....AND SOON POST A PORTRAIT IN THIS SITE WITH YOUR TECHNIQUE.....
