Excellent again, A really nice pose or position of the subject. We will have to work a little more on light fall as from the face shading the light goes right o left, but the eye blue is darker on the shaded side. I know it's picky, but worth thinking about. Likeness excellent, technique excellent. On the hair a useful skill is to use a small flat brush put a light yellow on one side and say a light brown on the other and as you draw down your brush stroke turn the brush around this is an interesting effect. Try it out on a scrap piece of paper with say black and white, play until you feel confident then use it on a Portrait. OK. Still three claps but close to four. Good work. I'll give a little task tomorow for next week.
Ok, I'm glad U gave me a comment like this, what I need to work on as I really dont feel proud of this, thankQ so much and I'll do better next time! At least I'm gonna try!!
Wait, you should feel proud of this painting! your work is very very good, I brought up the little fault because it's a very small item. I am critical of m own work, but each portrait is a wonderful thing, as it helps us along the road of learning. I'm glad you should always want to be better or do your best. Our best is what we should try for in all our work. Don't forget your school homework, your friends and also fun outside painting. Later we all will have a painting challenge??????? Brian,
Wait I have a task, I will name your subject and it will be: Kirk Douglas An actor who has been around a long time. We all will paint him and test our likeness and originality. Have a look at how other people have done their work, it has to be in your style, look at his chin, eyes, nose and hair, remember it is not a competition but a bit of fun.
Remmeber Enjoy.
can i give u a sugestion...
whenever you wantto make a backgroung try this technique...
first apply pure water on whole background then give some touches of the color you want to give to backroung then it will pread by itself in the direction you have applied water it will give a great effect you can try it in a sheet of paper before trying it on a portrait......i teacher told this me in 5th grade she told me this to make sky in some scenaries......i thought to tell you.....
