...like smoother and detailed shading, drawing lips... I always try to draw a detailed realistic portrait, but it ends with kind of smudgy portrait - and maybe it's the way, not photorealistic drawing at all costs, but kind of oil painting made with pencil
Sometimes I watch blurred photos I'd like to draw in spite of this and, in those cases, I'd like to know how to make smudgy drawings, just to be able to draw what I want.
Moreover, this effect is part of what I like in this drawing
That's right, in this drawing blur effect was a purpose, it's just about drawing no lines directly but kind of lines made by circling (like shading) simply said
Thank you for your kind words , you are a great artist! ...It's funny, 'cause I was listening to her music when drawing her and maybe it helped me to give her personality to the portrait! I enjoyed it! Thanks again!
It really helps when drawing a singer, with other celebrities it is a bit trickier, maybe before drawing see some movies or fashion shows in case of models
I usually do listen to music when drawing, but I hadn't thought about that it might help in that way..
I think it's also useful if you look at more pictures of the person you're drawing so that you get a picture of what they look like in 3D.
