Evanghelos Odyssey Papathanassiou, 29 March 1943, Volos, Greece. A child prodigy, Vangelis gave his first public performance on the piano at the age of six, and later studied classical music, painting and film direction at the Academy of Fine Arts in Athens. In the early 60s he co-founded the formulaic beat outfit Forminx, who went on to become possibly Greece's most popular group during the mid-60s pop explosion with singles such as "Yenka Beat" and "Geronimo Jenka". Forminx disbanded in 1967 and ,,Coquest of paradise'', ,,Celtic Dawn''....
