Thank you! i hope so im taking a drawing course in college this coming semester and i am hoping that that will help. i have never had any formal training and have only been drawing portraits on and off for a year. thank you for the suggestions i can use them.

Well, we all have to start somewere at the start it's you getting use to the pencil. Learning about types of pencil I used to use three a B3, B6 and a graphite B5, also the use of shaping putty rubber for removing dark and cutting light. At present your imagination it a head of your ability, but the two things will soon come together. As far as course and school it your patience, practice and enjoyment that counts. Never allow anyone to say don't do that until theve explained why?it's a learn from other's thing ask questions on this site, if something looks good ask how it was done, I know the artists here will only be to happy to tell you or give you tips.
