Very good better because her colouring is dark abd black so the lack of shade on the face is good it works. also the pink makes it a little more stand out. If it had red lips and a little brown on the eyes I would have given you a 4 but

Your work is very good and you will atract good comments but remember its not the good ones that make you improve, The ideas you have are good but slow down a allow the skill and techniques to catch up with your wonderful imagination.
Love your use of watercolor on left you can use colored pencil for the black gray and white to be more stand out. I did several black and whites with colored pencils and with the lighter fluid to make it more liquid it works along side the watercolor paint very well. Won't mar the paper either like water will.
I use Bristol Smooth paper I like to smudge the light tones on it is more smooth and I just like finger painting the mid tones in it is really quick and fun too. I use the hard packed paper stumps and some of the graphite powder and sponge applicators for the background. Keep experimenting you will find a lot of ways to apply fast effects.
Remember there are really no rules in art everything goes only the end product is important, Most people don't care how you achieved your piece or even the time it took to do it. Just the end product is it pretty or catchy or just does it make the viewer excited in some way.
