Hi Rupin glad you stopped by I will be working on Alexander Graham Bell next just slowing down a bit. Hands hurting from carpel tunnel. Will be working again soon though!!!
Oh thanks so much this means a lot to me. Been off now for a few days hands hurting and tingling hope to last until the weather gets too hot. Then maybe time off work will be good!!!
Just carpel tunnel it is a hazard of working with steel wedge anchors for thirty years now. I guess it is from continuous use. I will check into some form of treatment but I will wait until summer when it is un godly hot in the plant. Maybe I can get a few weeks off to relax then. I may just opt for a cortisone shot so the pain and tingling will be gone. I had cortisone before for tenis elbow and for a heal spir. That stuff is miraculous love it!!!!!
No pressure just take your time and do Brian first it is okay to take your time with the zorro and the Roy and Trigger. I am trying to slow down to heal my hands somewhat. I have bought a brace so we shall see if that is going to help with the carpel.
Okay, well I certainly hope it helps too!Shahin made me some medallions and I will send them over to your mail with some other works very soon Christine!
Hey Chris join Facebook with us Jeanette is now there and so is Shahin. I am happy with that site it is more like this one. The my space is okay but it is more confusing that the facebook.
Yes do you have to work or are you off on Presidents Day. I am a laborer so I must go in. My husband used to work for the State so he was always off on that holiday. He used to work for Indiana State Prison he was a gard and later went into being a food director at that institution. He is retired now and is starting to do a type of social work with handicapped adults. He will be taking them to the doctor watching over them in general. Glad he will be doing something and not remaining a couch potato everyone needs something meaningful to keep them happy.
I am home today, happy because even though I do a new portrait daily mostly when I get hom at night...I can work on some request,I am backlogged... Your husband sounds like a great man!I know a girl whose dad did the same line of work for the prison, and my Uncle is a guard at Tamms Correctional center, has been for about 24 years although he stared out at Menards Correctional Center in Chester,Missouri, remembers seeing John Wayne gacy in there, not one you would want to remember...yes I agree my grandmother did'nt live too long after retiring, same for my grandpa,it was his regret retiring young,I think I come from a heredity line of people that needs people, maybe that is why I am a portrait artist,I love people...
That sounds nice Chris just take your time and don't become over burdened this is supposed to be relaxing and full filling. So no need to hurry. I have been taking longer with each project now since I am doing inventors and historical people. I will tell Gary my husband about your family in law enforcement. We have loads of cops in the family and one court of appeals judge too.
Chris my grand daughter Sadie is going to post some of her drawings here her gallery is Smu. She is only eleven years old so be encouraging with her. I am thrilled that she is taking up art seriously. She is doing charactures not sure yet about the portraits but working into it. The talent is there just needs to gain the technique.
great Christine, your doing with your grandaughter what I yearn to do with my own children someday,(if I ever have any) and that is to encourage them to create and share art with the world, when I was about 5 I did caricatures and this is the truth,I started doodling and making faces because of Sesame Street, trying to draw Burt and Ernie, the oval shapes of their eyes and noses helped me I guess,my mom still has some of those laying around, her caricature work is going to help her find her strenghts and weaknesses,so this is good.
I guess we all know fairly young that we have this knack. All we must do is hone our aptitudes and learn the various techniques. I am still learning and hoping to improve with each piece. Thanks I am going to try to help her she is a bit shy about showing her stuff on the internet but I know it shows great potential.
I think I am the only one she knows so far. Let her get her stuff up and I think she will have many more friends here. I hope to be telling her about you Jeanette and of course Shahin!!
Well I hope she enjoys herself, this site has really helped me cut my teeth! It makes great conversastion for family and friends too, alot of talent over here,by the way I will show you what Shahin made for me at your mail in a moment!
Hi Chris I have been sending her some of the young artists work so she could see that her stuff is as good or better than most. So if she can get the knack of posting I think she will do well. Have a nice Sunday now and get some rest thanks for the new work you sent to my e-mail. I keep all of your work in your folder friend!!!
"The Lone Eagle" legendary pioneer, one of the many links between our country. But I like him for his real human being, with all its contradictions and paradoxes !!
Yes a very coragous young man with very high ideals. It was a tragedy for him when his baby was kidnapped and killed. Any person who has been through the fire like that would have strong convictions I am sure!!
