Love the expression,I like the bit in Goldfinger where James and Jill is in bed and the radio says,"The President said today he was extremely satisfied..." and Connery goes "Well that makes two of us." haha! :D :guffaw:  :8)

He was a funny guy and came to my Town with his drinking buddy Stanley Baker (Zulu) as Stanley sister kept a Bar in my area he and stan would be singing and playing cards sat in the bar. Stanley's sister would be nagging them to come to the flat for their dinner |I would have to stop playing darts so they could go past me. Shortly after they were of filming different roles and when Stanley Baker died, his sister had a wake in the bar in his honour. 'Sad never mind' if you can tell me what film that's from, then you know your films.

I don't know the film, unfortunately,Zulu is really great though, loved that!I can imagine how funny that was to hear a jolly Sean Connery singing, did you ever have a wee chat with Connery or Baker? And is Bakers sister still alive?Alo does Tom Jones and his wife Melinda still live in Wales? :D

Stanley Baker’s sister and the bar are long gone, it was a part of the steel works club, and now the steel works like the 9 coal pits are all green fields now. Stanley Baker love working class men he was very down to earth and would talk to the Bar old men for hours. the last time I saw him was just after he made the film 'Zulu' my all time fav. he was smoking a fag outside in the garden I was eating a chicken sandwich and we passed each other my only words to him were Great Film Mr Baker he just gave a little nod of his head, then I was gone. I never was him again I was cut up when he died. The Film were 'Sad, never mind' was a quote at the end of the film Zulu when the sergeant was counting the dead and injured.

We had it on Sky for a long time it was a very good channel. I hope Heath Ledger wins a oscar for his joker he was great and I am always thinking of painting the joker. The passed two year have been a flop for me The Film 'There will be blood' and 'The last good men' were awful they had no good plots like the old films, and the so called British Film Slum dog --- well we are scraping the botom now.

Yes,I agree The Dark Knight was the last film I saw that made me feel anything,I am sure in Europe as it is hee their is alot of quickly made films that end up on DVD within months of being shown in the theatres...I am hopeful about three fantasy films this year,2.The Watchers DC comics2.Where the Wild Things Are-Spike jonze director,and3.Universals remake of The Wolfman with Benicio Del Toro, wich has made us all dissapointed,it was due in April and Superbowl Sunday we found out it has been pushed back to Nov23rd.Ledger probably will win that Oscar, his father is supposed to accept on his behalf, another Joker would be good,I notice now their is even more reference available. :ok:  :grin:hat is great you guys got to see TCM,I hope you can get it back someday.
