Seting is the thing with painting also the colour is important the purple shades work well with this one and keep him cold and strange which he was in the film.

There are three kinds of Elivis, standard portrait, Pop art or poster I love the pop art ones they can be just like him colourfuls and iconic, good luck with your choice don't hang yourself out to much trying to hard just search for him in your mind I pplay music not just Elvis it help to inspire also take a few photo's for reference try to immerce yourself for and hour in doddling before settleing down to work.
