I studied long to divine how you did this with markers, imagining it as a huge drawings...now I see the colored pencils and still...stand in awe! It's grand!!

jpoulos, Thanks...I appreciate your nice comments. For years I simply did these kinds of portraits with markers only...maybe a bit of graphic white here and there as needed. Gradually, I started combining colored pencils where the pencil point was more accurate or sketchy. Then I began scanning the portraits into Corel Photo Paint and using some of the tools to smooth or blend the colors to my liking. It has been a fun transition. So, truth be known, it is more than just markers and colored pencils. I'd pour ketchup on it if I thought it would work! Ha! Good to share some thoughts...thanks again. Roger C.
