I remember when the movie "Caddyshack" came out in 1980. We had just gotten our 1st VCR, and the concept of watching movies over and over again, and anytime you wanted, was brand new. We must have watched that movie 50 times and it never got old. Leading comedians Bill Murray, Rodney Dangerfield, Ted Knight and Chevy Chase made it a culture classic! Ted died August 26th 1986, but will always be loved and remembered!

In this drawing, Ted plays "Judge Smails" who is approaching the greens keeper about a gopher he had just seen. What made Ted so funny to me were his voice, facial expressions, laugh, and of course his lines.

Well, I think you could capture the idea as a whole, but the literal translation of some words maybe prejudice the sense of some sentences. Cara = guy, pal / free lance = free lance (English meaning itself) / por aqui = around here / anos atrás = years ago / venho tentando = I've been trying to; ...depois de anos parado, voltei a desenhar com força total = ...after years in blank, I'm drawing again with might and main / Por isso, quero agora também começar a vender desenhos por encomenda... = So, I also want now to start drawing to order (commission)... / Falou, compadre?! = Right, pal?! :grin: :grin: :grin: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

Sometimes I just punch in actress or actor and look at the various photos. If I find one that has good contrasts and seems clear that is one I will do. I know it gets frustrating if you want a certain person and there just doesn't seem to be a good picture of them. Keep up the excellent work and do try that colored one.

thank you! I wish I had a better quality photo to work with! I love Ted Knight! Also, I use only Bristol smooth paper now...MUCH better. Notice all my drawings AFTER Chevy Chase and you will notice something different? :roll: :grin: :hi:

I get it at Blicks. There is a store 10 mins from me, but you can get online too? www.dickblick.com/products/strathmore-300-series-bristol-board-pads/ It took me about 2 drawings to get used to it, but I will NEVER go back to the Canson and Strathmore medium papers...ever!!! :grin: :hi: :blowkiss:
